I have been going to Eyedeal Optical for years, and the level of customer service and expertise here is hard to find. James is truly exceptional—he’s patient, knowledgeable, and always makes sure you leave completely satisfied. First class service. Cares very much about his clients. We had two doctors telling us different things about one of my son’s prescriptions. James didn’t just take word for it and encouraged us to get another opinion just to be safe. Long story short, it was a huge mess up in doctor’s office and the prescription would have been bad for my son. We got it resolved. My wife and I and our two boys all use eyedeal. They are affordable, honor the warranty’s without question and very communicative. Highly recommend.

After reading the reviews for this place, I decided to come here to buy a new pair of glasses. The ladies up front were very helpful, and James went out of his way to make sure I had a pair of glasses that weren't broken when I walked out. I highly recommend anyone looking for an optical place to check this place out! The value is great, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the owner seems to have a passion for his job--which is awesome. If you are reading reviews and looking for a place to go, look no further!

I've been getting glasses from Eyedeal for 10 years and never had any issues. Glasses are reasonably priced and there's a pretty good selection of frames. If they have what you want in stock usually takes 10 minutes. No second trip needed. Definitely recommend.

Eyedeal optical is my go place for glasses and contacts. I recently got pretty high tech, progressive, trifocal polycarbonate glasses with an awesome frame for a 1/3 of what I was quoted somewhere else. And even though I appreciate the value and savings, I appreciate the service even more. James and his crew are amazing and truthfully, my family and I only go there for all of our optical needs. I recently got a pair of really cool prescription sunglasses with gradient, purple tinting. They were available in any color frame and any color lens that I wanted All for under $100. They stand behind everything they sell. They are amazingly fast and accurate And I can’t say enough about the quality of their product, service, and people. I’m Sold!!!

Devastated? No worries at all Mary. You saw how fast we can change or add the color. ( I can even remove some color) This is a easy fix. I believe you showed us multiple tones of purple and gray on your phone during the multiple visits this week. When you chose the color or colors you want, swing in and allow us to make that for you. It's a very simple solution to this devastating outcome. We hope to see you soon to make this right for you.

Every time I come into Eyedeal Optical, I get taken care of Great! Over the years I'm hard on my glasses, break them, scratch them, loose them, new script, James and the others take care of my eyeglass issues very good. James Went above and beyond to help my out of state college student daughter. First, over Christmas she needed extra help to get her prescription adjusted. Then her glasses broke and the local glasses shop where she is at school could not help her. She has a very strong prescription and can't function without glasses. He came in on his day off and opened so she could get a replacement pair when she was home on the weekend. We did not expect this level of customer service, and are very grateful! Thank you!

Came here to get new glasses and lenses, and new lenses put into an old pair of glasses. They were ready same day and I ended up paying less than I ever have for a single pair anywhere else! The gentleman was so helpful and got me paperwork to submit it all to my insurance. Such a good experience and I would definitely come back!!

My fiance and I came in here a week before our wedding and honeymoon and we were absolutely so impressed! They made my lenses in 10 mins! I recently purchased a couple pairs of eyeglasses from this store and I have to say, the owner was amazing! These guys are the bomb. I had to leave for college, so they installed my lenses and adjusted the glasses in one visit - and - did repairs that I had been slacking on getting for a while!
The frames are all more affordable than other places and, if you appreciate neutral frames styles (which is everyone who does not want their glasses to be a statement piece), you can probably find something for you here. I've checked out other places from time to time, but Eyedeal Optical is the only place in Rockford where I've found frames that I like. Not to mention, I get lots of compliments on my glasses, which are super comfy to wear. (Win-win!)
Overall, these guys are a perfect example of a strong local business that does their part in making Rockford a city worth living in.

Eyedeal Optical is definitely a one of a kind eye center. From the amazing staff, quality of service, knowledge, and vast selection of frames. You simply can’t go wrong when you pay them a visit. Over the 30 years I have needed corrective lenses, Eyedeal has been my one and only stop. In need of a quick fix or an adjustment, no worries, they will have you in and out looking your best. Just yesterday (7/27) I visited with my vintage Oakley sunglasses hoping James could make them proscription for me. By 2pm my eyes were saying “THANK YOU” for the shade.

I wanted to thank the owner For his attention to detail and willingness to help me find a pair of glasses. He did not try to up sell me and gave me what I needed. I came back later to bring in my old glasses that he said he could RE-Use and put in new frames. But he is a magician and fixed my old pair and did not charge me. I have two pair of glasses now. Dropped off my glasses for replacement lenses on Tuesday at 5:45 P.M. and got a call Wednesday morning at 10:15 that they were ready !! James the owner is the real deal private business owner. No pressure for any expensive add on sales. Just straight forward honest fast service. Highly recommend coming here. I come from 45 minute's away and will continue to do so !

Horrible place, glasses didn't work well on my face, and i requested my refund, they refused my money back. He says I can sell this frame again, so i call my credit card company for dispute, finally i got my money back. Never go back this store, even they charge you $10 frame for $100!!!

First time. Terrible expierience. The blonde is beyond rude. The first pair of trial contacts that they gave me fit so terribly that they were almost stuck. And i just used the eyeglass prescription that they gave me to get glasses for work. Tried them out and i cant see details, including street signs, unless i get close to them. Hopefully i can get a new pair since i wasted them on a bad prescription.

I have been going here for years. During this time I experience two eye doctors here. The one now, is great - he is a mega Blackhawks fan and has pictures on his phone of how he themed out his basement...I just nod my head, haha. But the doctor before this one was a mega jerk to me every time I came in. Still, this had the best prices in town. Im glad I can come here and leave here smiling now.

Cannot express how awesome it is to walk in with busted glasses and walk out with it all taken care of by such skilled, welcoming people and with new frames that fit my lenses for only $40. Mandie found a pair that fit my very thick lenses and my style in mere minutes of our arrival. With my first pair still under warranty, the new frames were only $20 dollars. She adjusted them to fit wonderfully. In this economy, the value of this place cant be beat. Thanks for the help, guys, best spot in town for glasses.

Had an awesome experience and got a lovely new pair of glasses and prescription sunglasses out of it! They have a great selection to choose from. Broke my glasses that were a little over a year old, and went in to this store to check out pricing and selection. They fixed my broken frames at no charge - I didn't even purchase them here. Went and got a new prescription in my vision network, and purchased my new glasses at EyeDeal. I went to a different local store (in-network for insurance) and they wanted over twice the money for similar frames and lenses, and that was after insurance! Needless to say, I'll never purchase glasses anywhere else. I've also purchased a pair of prescription sunglasses from here - and I've still saved money over what the other place wanted!

The owner is so talented at what he does, and somehow is able to do it way cheaper than anyone else. I would highly recommend them. They also fixed my sons other pair of glasses while we were there. The store we bought them from had tried 3 times with no success. So now my son has 2 pair of great glasses!

Had a minor emergency when my glasses broke 6 days before I went on a trip to Europe for work. Got an appointment quickly and easily on Tuesday, had glasses in hand on Thursday. The toughest part was picking out some frames which was actually pretty easy! Dr. Nuccio was very friendly and helpful, as was all the staff. Extremely reasonably priced to boot! Crisis averted and off to more adventures, thank you everyone at Eyedeal!

I had a great experience!! The frames are super affordable and they a huge selection. The service is also great. The new owner, James, was very friendly and fixed my broken glasses so that I would have some until my new ones came in. I highly recommend coming here if you need a pair of cute affordable glasses.

We love Eyedeal Optical! Our entire family goes there for glasses, and we'll never go anywhere else. The selection of frames is very decent, and the lenses are affordable. For a family of five, we simply couldn't afford to do glasses for the whole family anywhere else. I get great lenses at great prices, including coatings and tints.

I was in desperate need of glasses ready in just one day! Eyedeal Optical was the only place I could find to help me get glasses ASAP. Jeff and Tony were incredible to work with — they helped me pick out the perfect frames and had my glasses ready in under 20 minutes. Plus their prices were so reasonable!! I have been going to Eyedeal Optical for about 6 years. I had lasik surgery about 15 years ago and, as we all do, eventually needed reading glasses. The Optician at the clinic where I had my surgery recommended Eyedeal. He said his wife goes there and I would find a great deal since I only needed readers. Two pairs later I am going back for now distance and readers. I live in WI and come down to Rockford to have my glasses made at Eyedeal. I have my eye exam here in Janesville, then go to Eyedeal to have the glasses made.
There was a mixup on my last pair of glasses from 2 years ago, they were made for distance instead of reading (maybe that person needed new glasses? ;-} ) but the mistake was fixed, at no charge and they mailed my glasses to me at home so I didn't have to make the trip back again. If it had not been for the mix up in my glasses I would have given 5 stars.
I found out about a year ago that my oldest brother, who also lives in WI, goes to Eyedeal for his glasses as well.

Dr. Schumacher gave a bad prescription for my father James and refused to fix his mistake! The Doctor yelled at his patient and blamed it on his Cataracts. Poor service and unprofessional. He had to get a new perscription at Eye Glass World.

He is at a new location which we can give you the information for if you wish to speak with him. Our doctors office is independently operated solely by the doctor but is located inside our building. I want to thank Douglas Shumaker, OD at Eyedeal Optical on Charles St. here in Rockford and his staff for the professional service they provided in the eye examination and the fitting of my eyeglasses.
I had been to two different "Big Box" eyeglass stores in the last three years and it seemed to me that these optometrists were either passing through to a better job somewhere or had something else on their mind except their job. I was told that it takes a week or so to get use to the new glasses.....Not true! It was just their excuse for doing a poor job.
Dr.Shumaker was professional with my eye exam by explaining the procedure as we went and answering any and all of my questions. His staff was professional making sure that I was totally happy with my New Glasses.....oh, and they had a better price than the "Big Box" stores.

Ahmazing service....very fast service. They are kind and easy to deal with. The prices are low, maybe because the frames are lightweight (not neccessarily a bad thing) however they have a great selection of frame styles. The doc seems a little burned out but he is nice and effective.
