I want to thank Douglas Shumaker, OD at Eyedeal Optical on Charles St. here in Rockford and his staff for the professional service they provided in the eye examination and the fitting of my eyeglasses.
I had been to two different "Big Box" eyeglass stores in the last three years and it seemed to me that these optometrists were either passing through to a better job somewhere or had something else on their mind except their job. I was told that it takes a week or so to get use to the new glasses.....Not true! It was just their excuse for doing a poor job.
Dr.Shumaker was professional with my eye exam by explaining the procedure as we went and answering any and all of my questions. His staff was professional making sure that I was totally happy with my New Glasses.....oh, and they had a better price than the "Big Box" stores.

Ahmazing service....very fast service. They are kind and easy to deal with. The prices are low, maybe because the frames are lightweight (not neccessarily a bad thing) however they have a great selection of frame styles. The doc seems a little burned out but he is nice and effective.
I've been getting glasses from Eyedeal for 10 years and never had any issues. Glasses are reasonably priced and there's a pretty good selection of frames. If they have what you want in stock usually takes 10 minutes. No second trip needed. Definitely recommend.
Wonderful place. Same day glasses that fit my prescription and a custom pair of colored lenses that you could never find elsewhere. Very cool!

Eyedeal optical is my go place for glasses and contacts. I recently got pretty high tech, progressive, trifocal polycarbonate glasses with an awesome frame for a 1/3 of what I was quoted somewhere else. And even though I appreciate the value and savings, I appreciate the service even more. James and his crew are amazing and truthfully, my family and I only go there for all of our optical needs. I recently got a pair of really cool prescription sunglasses with gradient, purple tinting. They were available in any color frame and any color lens that I wanted All for under $100. They stand behind everything they sell. They are amazingly fast and accurate And I can’t say enough about the quality of their product, service, and people. I’m Sold!!!

The Staff Is Amazing. They go above & beyond to try to help. I brought my broken frames in to Alice & James this morning. They were able to pop my lenses out and find me another BeBe frame. My favorite brand! Always a pleasure to visit this place. The really care about their customers.
I had very high expectations for my dyeable glasses. What I got was mediocre. I'm kinda devastated. Not what I was hoping for.
Devastated? No worries at all Mary. You saw how fast we can change or add the color. ( I can even remove some color) This is a easy fix. I believe you showed us multiple tones of purple and gray on your phone during the multiple visits this week. When you chose the color or colors you want, swing in and allow us to make that for you. It's a very simple solution to this devastating outcome. We hope to see you soon to make this right for you.

Every time I come into Eyedeal Optical, I get taken care of Great! Over the years I'm hard on my glasses, break them, scratch them, loose them, new script, James and the others take care of my eyeglass issues very good. Good selection, good prices and fast turnaround makes the above the rest. 6 stars for this place.

James Went above and beyond to help my out of state college student daughter. First, over Christmas she needed extra help to get her prescription adjusted. Then her glasses broke and the local glasses shop where she is at school could not help her. She has a very strong prescription and can't function without glasses. He came in on his day off and opened so she could get a replacement pair when she was home on the weekend. We did not expect this level of customer service, and are very grateful! Thank you!
